Shipping Companies Can Damage Your Inventory and Just Walk Away

Posted on 27 June 2008

The trade fairs are the big companies, and a large part of big business marketing. Caro shows, trade, marketing, all these elements are necessary to meet a good position. And these elements are often sent from transport companies in order to show that the space.

If your confidence in a shipping company for the transport of goods, for their valuable for fair trade, who is responsible if something happens there? And how will you be compensated if something were lost or destroyed? The answers will surprise you May.

Unfortunately, you can find on the hard disk so that the company had decided that, trust and has little or no responsibility for the safety of transport their property straight.

They, like others, May wonder why these large conglomerates are not responsible for the dispatch or the punishment in case of loss of a consignment. Financially, they have little incentive to resolve their dilemma, shipping missing. If this is a loss or when the supply is because they are for only five cents per book. Yes, you read that correctly, this right, five cents per book.

There is no logical reason behind them is responsible for this price a little. Other commodities, what if everything is a value in books? If you consider the small parts tend to have a value much greater than the heavy objects. Think jewellery, then the 5-cent book, perhaps to compensate, if your living room display jewelry shortage? However, if something is lost, you get almost nothing. It is not only inappropriate, financially devastating.

May you wonder that these companies, you can with it. Possibly unknown companies, small companies without foreign reputation? It would be a mistake. These are well-known companies like FedEx, UPS and other large freight companies. They are governed by the law at least this responsibility to the goods, persons missing.

These companies freight you the possibility of an additional insurance carriers early. Although the self-insured, you pay only a small fortune if something happens, they have no control. Nice of them, is not it?

Not only you forever, but you also taken into account if the size of the cargo is in progress, and then to the “standard shipping.” To give an example, UPS, a premium of at least $ 100 if a dimension in the length, width or height of more than one hundred and twenty inches. There are many other “extra” cost, and this is a good idea to secure your role in society before the transport their goods on them.

If your house is in the supervision, care and control “as to avoid liability? If we knew, perhaps we would be in a position to correct it. However, until it turns product, its cargo of confidence in a company Navigation is a little like games of chance, because nobody has to guess whether to see you again.

At the time, perhaps the only thing we can do is when we think of anything that value, in particular back and forth for trade fairs, adding the delivery of your companies in the insurance policy, with a driver at a low cost. It is fast and easy a solution, and compared with the potential cost much to lose, is relatively inexpensive. This avoid suffering not only a struggle.

    hi regie,

here’s a little tip.. keep your cargoes near the cargo door, give the forklift operator and the checker a little tip.. 20 to 50 pesos wouldn’t hurt.. the reason for this is that your cargo would be the first one to be unloaded when the boat docks..keep this in mind the next time you ship for Leyte..thanks for the comment..good luck in your ventures..
